Resident of Orthopedics and Traumatology UIS obtains first place in National event

Fabián Reynaldo Mantilla Angarita, fourth year resident of the Specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology, won the “Federico Restrepo Carvajal” National Research Award for Residents of Orthopedics and Traumatology.

The event brought together the research proposals of the residents of this training in the country, evaluated them, and after a rigorous selection, on August 23, awarded first place to the project “Reliability in the classification and surgical approach in the management of fractures in the Tibial Plateau comparing TAC with the 3D Printed Model by Reverse Software Engineering ”, presented by Dr. Mantilla in the modality of Best completed research work.

The research presented by Dr. Mantilla was conducted under the direction of Professors José Luis Osma Rueda, attached to the School of Medicine, and Clara Isabel López Guardón, linked to the School of Industrial Design.
