The Universidad Industrial de Santander, through the Foreign Affairs Office, supports the consolidation of strategic alliances both nationally and internationally, under the consolidation of agreements that allow the promotion and implementation of activities of common interest in order to exchange experiences and personnel in the fields of teaching, research and culture. These agreements allow the mobility of students, professors and researchers, as well as the realization of research internships.

Agreements on the map
The following is the location on the map of the countries and institutions with which the University has signed agreements. This chart only shows the agreements that are part of the file that is kept at the Foreign Affairs Office and that are still in force.
The types of cooperation contemplated by the Foreign Affairs Office are as follows:
- Undergraduate and Graduate Student Exchanges
- Exchange of professors and researchers.
- Carrying out of joint research projects (no amount of money).
- Promotion of scientific and cultural events
- Exchange of information and academic publications
These agreements allow the realization of business or social internships as a type of the degree project. It is important to emphasize that each student should contact the Secretary’s Office of his/her school to request academic advising and due support in the corresponding administrative procedures. If necessary, Foreign Affairs Office will provide a digital version of the agreement upon request.

Academic cooperation
For the Universidad Industrial de Santander, it is a priority to strengthen existing institutional alliances and stimulate the creation of new agreements in order to strengthen teaching, research and extension.
The types of cooperation contemplated by the Foreign Office are the following:
- Exchange of Undergraduate and Postgraduate students.
- Exchange of professors and researchers.
- Realization of joint research projects (without amount), capacity building among others.
- Promotion of scientific and cultural events.
Exchange of information and academic publications.

Before initiating any agreement subscription procedure, it is recommended to contact the agreement professional at the following e-mail address relextconvenios@uis.edu.co or call +57 7 6344000 ext. 2870. For internship agreements in the form of a degree project, please contact your school directly.
Notice 1: per individual agreements for national and international research internships, please contact the Foreign Affairs Office directly.
Notice 2: The UIS requires that all agreements be signed in Spanish and in the language requested by the cooperating institution.
Note 1: For individual agreements at national and international level of research internship or thesis co-tutelage contact the Foreign Affairs office directly.
Note 2: For the UIS it is a requirement that any agreement be signed in Spanish version and language that the cooperating institution requests.
