The PROINAPSA UIS Research Group aims to generate knowledge in health promotion and human development with high levels of quality. For this, it articulates intervention projects on needs and problems that affect human groups, with research projects on these situations to contribute to the integral development of the population and the improvement of their living conditions. The work in the Group fosters spaces for reflection and collaborative research with other research groups studying the thematic areas and similar populations. It emphasizes the transfer of research results to decision-makers and those interested in these issues, thus contributing to the social appropriation of knowledge and the training of human talent in Health Promotion and Human Development.

This research group was born within the Proinapsa Institute of the Faculty of Health of the Universdiad Industrial de Santander, Collaborating Center of the World Health Organization, WHO, in two themes: Health Promotion and Sexual and Reproductive Health; and that develops its work in 3 areas: Social Projection, Education and Communication and Research.
