Our
Mission
IGGA research group hopes to impact our society through 1) the development of projects linked to the exploration of various energy resources, 2) the generation of knowledge that allows the recognition of climate change effects and impacts in Colombia, 3) the proposal of solutions to local problems that involve the lithosphere with the use of the applied and computational geophysics and 3) the dissemination of knowledge about the earth system on a regional scale. In this way, the projects proposed in IGGA will be linked to the direct application of Earth sciences such as: geophysics, structural geology, geochemistry, geomorphology.
Our
Vision
In five years, be a consolidated group of creative and innovative researchers from various geological disciplines who propose and develop interdisciplinary projects that lead the generation of knowledge in energy diversification, climate change and the evolution and functioning of the lithosphere in various scales: regional scales, which allow us to understand the functioning of the planet, and local scales which allow us to understand the functioning of the critical zone, for example.
