ABOUT THE
Program
The Specialization in Statistics of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) offers professionals from different areas of knowledge, methodologies, and computer skills the opportunity to perform statistical analysis and apply their knowledge to any field of training.
The program is designed along three lines:
Theoretical training is based on the introduction of basic theories of probability and statistics, as well as the mathematical foundations that support each of the techniques exposed.
Continuous practice in data analysis, through the presentation of real cases and with diverse perspectives, which allow students to develop their statistical thinking.
Handling of various statistical packages to best respond to the demands that may be made.

Applicants for the Specialization in Statistics from the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) are professionals with solid training in basic mathematical concepts that allow them to understand the basic principles of statistics and the assumptions and consequences of each of the models to be studied. Likewise, they are willing to work permanently on the analysis and interpretation of data and for intensive practice in the handling of statistical packages.

Graduates of this postgraduate course have solid statistical thinking based on a rigorous conceptual qualification and adequate practice in the management and interpretation of data. In addition, they can:
Design research and evaluate data that allows an adequate analysis of the obtained information.
Apply the statistical methods, guaranteeing an adequate use of the techniques.
Adequately design the statistical component of a research project.
Be critical of the statistical information provided in articles and research reports.

- Photocopy of the diploma and undergraduate degree certificate.
- Certificate of qualifications for applicants who completed the undergraduate at another university.

- Receipt or proof of payment of the registration.
