As a multidisciplinary research group, CIMBIOS studies topics of social interest such as early detection and cure of cancer; care of wounds and dependent persons; development of quantum sensors; production and characterization of nanomaterials; production and characterization of nanoparticles and coatings for obtaining functional materials and new cementitious materials based on carbonaceous and metallic nanocomposites; classical, semi-classical, quantum and mixed modeling and simulation; application of data science for the solution of problems of scientific and social interest; development of new information and communication technologies for the solution of problems of departmental, national and international interest and the training of human talent with the scientific and technological rigor that characterizes the UIS community.
