EDUMAT is a research and outreach group composed of students, professors, and UIS graduates as well as teachers from other educational institutions of the region. The group seeks to improve the quality of mathematics education both in the department and in the country, contributing through its research and extension activities to the professional and personal development of its members and the strengthening of the educational community of northeastern Colombia. EDUMAT has departmental, national and international recognition, as evidenced by the Quality Accreditation of the Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, granted for 6 years by the National Accreditation Council (CNA), and by obtaining Category A1 in the 833 National Call for Applications.
