Our most important challenges are: 

• To achieve the recognition of the Group by Colciencias and to reach the classification A, in a space of time of four years from 2011, this means for the year 2015. 

• To publish at least two international articles per year in impact journals and four articles in national indexed newspapers per year, starting in 2011. 

• To train at least two young researchers, belonging to the group, at the master’s level and two at the doctorate level in prestigious schools abroad. 

• To improve the local infrastructure and logistics through a reform of the laboratories and the acquisition of portable field and laboratory equipment.
