The research group in Geomatics, Management and Optimization of Systems (Geomatics) is a reference group within the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation. It leads scientific development in transportation engineering; road infrastructure and sustainable mobility; systems optimization models and project evaluation; emerging technologies applied to geosciences and knowledge of disaster risk; applied research for the sustainable use of the territory with a focus on resilience to climate change, and the study of the built environment and its impact on public health and social welfare. The group supports research in data science, informatics, remote sensing, and earth sciences.
