Minciencias Classification: A

Ergonomics, Product, and Meaning Group (GEPS) has as its main objective scientific research related to how people use products and the design of the product itself in different situations such as work, leisure, recreational, domestic, and sports among others.

In this way, the aim is to generate new knowledge so that the products designed, ranging from tangible objects, graphical user interfaces (UI), systems, processes, and/or services, are more efficient, safe, and comfortable, thus contributing to the quality of life. These objectives are developed through research projects in undergraduate or graduate programs and serve as the foundation for the different lines of research considered in the current definition of Industrial Design and its areas of intellectual development.
