By 2025, OPALO will be a Latin American benchmark in its field of research, recognized for its contribution to productivity and development of Santander, through the generation of new knowledge based on data analysis and optimization and prediction models, which will be framed within the industry 4.0 approach. With the purpose of maintaining high quality scientific production and promoting the research culture among the UIS community, OPALO will conduct projects that positively impact the social, economic and academic spheres of the country. This will allow the group to move up in category, according to the scale of recognition and measurement established by Minciencias.
