ABOUT THE

Program

The PhD in Computer Science emerged in 2015, during the process of natural renewal of both the undergraduate and graduate programs of the School of Systems and Computer Engineering, which were created respectively in the years 1969 and 1984. The program complements the curricular reform and is articulated with the process of hiring professors with doctoral degrees, trained in prestigious national and international institutions, and the current recognition of the School’s research groups both in the country and abroad. This proposal also responds to the necessity of providing the northeastern part of Colombia with a space for research and innovation in the area of Computer Science, to face and complement the current challenges of development and growth of the country.
