Contribute to the study of new materials in line with the current demands and needs of the country by training suitable professionals and researchers who generate and strengthen cooperative links between Colombian universities and companies for the development, production and application of materials, so that a balance between man and his physical environment is maintained.

Vision
Lead the improvement and development of manufacturing processes, characterization and evaluation of materials in the country and consolidate itself as a group recognized for its research at the national and international level.
