The Enhanced Recovery Research Group focuses on identifying, developing, executing, and validating comprehensive solutions to the technological needs of companies engaged in hydrocarbons-related activities. This is achieved through strategic alliances and the analysis and execution of research projects related to Enhanced Recovery processes.

Currently, the research group proposes specialized studies in various techniques aimed at increasing recovery factors, all within the framework of the group’s research lines. These studies establish precise parameters to ensure optimal performance and accuracy in different methodologies for achieving results. This includes the implementation of physical models, mathematical models, economic analyses, risk and uncertainty assessments, and comprehensive numerical simulations of reservoirs (conceptual, full-field, etc.). The goal is to evaluate the feasibility of any tertiary recovery method, manage tools for research development, and disseminate the work carried out.
