Program
The Specialization in Hydrocarbons Management is focused on the use and application of management and administrative knowledge, linking elements of economic, social, technical, and operational aspects to direct, coordinate, plan, review, and control the strategic, operational, and tactical processes of organizations in the hydrocarbons sector, allowing them to develop and implement solutions to achieve the objectives proposed in any organization.

Hydrocarbons management specialists are professionals with the capacity to plan, lead, evaluate, and make decisions in an organization within the hydrocarbons sector. They are ethical people, with a high sense of social responsibility, committed to the community and the care of the environment. For which:
Analyze and evaluate the global and national environments as a basis for developing strategies that contribute to the development of the hydrocarbon sector.
Use management tools for the formulation, planning, and execution of projects that contribute to the development of the sector.
Recognize opportunities for strategic alliances with universities, research centers, or companies in the sector generating development opportunities.
Recognize the potential of technology in the hydrocarbon business for later application in its professional performance.
Learn and apply efficient mediation mechanisms for conflict resolution inside and outside the company, for of the parties involved.
Consider the components of social responsibility and efficient use of physical, human, and financial resources in the formulation of development plans in the hydrocarbons' industry.
Assess the risks involved in the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in the environment.
Value the importance of respect for respect and compliance with the laws, standards, and standards that regulate the hydrocarbons sector.
Take personal responsibility, teamwork, and leadership as elements that allow him to perform successfully in his professional practice.

The Hydrocarbons Management Specialist will be able to lead the hydrocarbons sector in the country, with productivity and social responsibility criteria in exploration, transportation, refining, and hydrocarbon marketing businesses.
The main purpose of the program is to provide management tools based on knowledge of the hydrocarbons' industry. To achieve this purpose, the program has been structured in 2 semesters, where the basis of management and administration are articulated, along with the basic concepts of the technical and commercial areas concerning the industry.
With recent changes in procurement and hydrocarbons policies in the country, it is evident from the academy the need to train professionals with the necessary knowledge to take responsibility for guiding and solving management problems in the hydrocarbons sector strategically for the country.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- UIS registration form duly completed and signed.
- Resume, it has to be done in the UIS format established institutionally for this purpose, with the attachment of the certificates and copies of documents that corroborate what is described in it.
- Photocopy of valid identity document valid in Colombia or valid passport for foreigners.
- Recent document type photo, preferably in digital format, white background 3×4.
- Photocopy of the diploma or photocopy of the undergraduate degree certificate required by the program, issued by a recognized HEI in Colombia.
- Notice 1: If the applicant has a degree from a foreign university, it must be duly apostilled and translated into Spanish if it is in a foreign language. The degrees must be validated by the Ministerio de Educación Nacional de la República.
- Certificate of the grades obtained in the undergraduate program required by the program, including the weighted average.
- Notice 2: In the case of UIS undergraduate alumni, it is not necessary to provide this document.
- Receipt of payment issued by the UIS treasury for the current value of the registration or receipt of consignment in the account authorized by the UIS.
