ABOUT THE

Program

Today’s Colombian engineer faces challenges that are not critical to humanity, industry, or the user. These challenges are environmental protection and understanding the effects that the artificial products that the process industry introduces to the market have on the ecosystem. To conserve natural resources, especially natural water; the problems that produce toxic waste in wastewater, gases in the quality of the atmosphere, the thermal factor, solid waste both in the industrial plant and in its handling and consumption of the product, and in the testing of fertile land in the search for raw materials.

Therefore, it is necessary to have professionals specializing in the environmental field who can participate in the planning, design, and execution of policies and projects to achieve the balance between development and environmental protection, in the harmonization of socio-economic and environmental objectives, through a redefinition of resource utilization models and growth methods, and development.
