ABOUT THE
Program
The main objective of the Hydrocarbons Production Specialization is to know and understand the technology currently developed in the production of oil wells, artificial lift systems, transport, and treatment systems for oil and water. It also develops the ability to adapt and apply new technologies to enhance the production of deposits in a way that achieves sustainable exploitation of resources.

The Hydrocarbon Production Specialists are professionals with the capacity to lead, formulate, and execute projects in the area of hydrocarbon production. They are ethical people with a high sense of social responsibility, committed to the community and the care of the environment. For which:
Understand the concepts, principles and theories related to the production of hydrocarbons.
Design systems for the management and/or treatment of the fluids produced, making use of the available technology.
Value and applies technology to the continuous improvement of hydrocarbon production.
Take into account the components of social responsibility and efficient use of physical, human, and financial resources in the formulation of development plans for hydrocarbon production fields.
Lead, propose, and carry out operational plans and field procedures in accordance with current regulations in the areas of quality, occupational safety and health, and environmental protection.
Design and evaluates investment programs and alternatives for the development of the hydrocarbons sector, contributing to the social and economic progress of the region and the country.
Take personal responsibility, teamwork, and leadership as elements that allow him to perform successfully in his professional practice.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- UIS registration form duly completed and signed.
- Resume, it has to be done in the UIS format established institutionally for this purpose, with the attachment of the certificates and copies of documents that corroborate what is described in it.
- Photocopy of valid identity document valid in Colombia or valid passport for foreigners.
- Recent document type photo, preferably in digital format, white background 3×4.
- Photocopy of the diploma or photocopy of the undergraduate degree certificate required by the program, issued by a recognized HEI in Colombia.
- Notice 1: If the applicant has a degree from a foreign university, it must be duly apostilled and translated into Spanish if it is in a foreign language. The degrees must be validated by the Ministerio de Educación Nacional de la República.
- Certificate of the grades obtained in the undergraduate program required by the program, including the weighted average.
- Notice 2: In the case of UIS undergraduate alumni, it is not necessary to provide this document.
- Receipt of payment issued by the UIS treasury for the current value of the registration or receipt of consignment in the account authorized by the UIS.
