about the

Program

The Chemical Engineering program of the Universidad Industrial de Santander trains professionals for the formulation of projects, analysis, design, construction, and assembly of plants and equipment. The operation, direction, supervision, and control of processes involving chemical, physical and biochemical changes.

It also educates professionals to offer engineering services, with an approach based on the theoretical and practical aspects, which govern the phenomena that occur within these processes, with the aim of generating value to goods and services.  The UIS Chemical Engineering program was created in 1948. It is one of the founding programs of the Universidad Industrial de Santander.  And for more than 72  years,  it demonstrates high quality, research capacity,  innovation, and success.  And it stands out for interdisciplinarity, researchable character, and openness to the world.
