The School of Arts and Music of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) is projected as a leading factor in the artistic and musical development of the country. For this purpose, the School will position itself as a national reference center for the planning, implementation and evaluation of alternative projects within the music field.

The mission of the academic unit is to train musical pedagogues with high ethical, political and professional qualities, within a critical and contemporary vision that takes into account the needs of the context. The School also seeks to contribute to the formation of citizens with artistic, social and instrumental sensibility, leaders of processes of change and progress, and precursors of the improvement of the country’s quality of life.
