The research group on Culture and Narrative in Colombia (Cuynaco) was founded in 2007. Since 2013, it has been part of the Center for Research in Culture and Society (CICS). As a result of its outstanding performance, it is endorsed by the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) and is ranked in category C, according to Colciencias’ call number 833. Cuynaco is an interdisciplinary collective composed of 38 professionals, and one of its main activities is to support the CO-LIBRIS hotbed of research, which is dedicated to the promotion, animation, mediation, research, and dissemination of children’s and young people’s literature.

Cuynaco is a member of the Center for Research in Culture and Society (CICS) of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS). It is also a member of the Network of Reading and Writing in Higher Education, REDLEES- ASCUN, and the Association of Colombian Semiotics. It is also an ally of the Centre Aixois d’Etudes Romanes, Université d’Aix Marseille, France.
