about the

Program

The Program in Primary Basic Education trains teachers, attending to the disciplinary, pedagogical, and didactic components but emphasizing two fundamental axes for the exercise of this profession: research, as a process that proposes to the teachers’ the reflection of their practice; and intervention in the processes of teaching and learning and training in competences, seen as one of the components of educational quality. These axes shape the distinctive features of the program and are based on national education policy, considering approaches to the General Education Law, Law 115 of 1994, and the documents recently generated by the Ministerio de Educación Nacional.
