The genetics lab has the following areas:

  • Sampling area that has an exclusive cubicle.
  • Administrative Area: has the office of the director, the secretary and file.

Laboratory area in the pre-PCR area is DNA extraction, PCR and cell culture and in the POST-PCR area is the area for capillary electrophoresis, cell culture and material washing.

The Biochemistry Laboratory is a teaching practice area for students in health careers at the UIS School of Health.

Teaching practices for biochemical II, genetic and clinical chemistry subjects for the careers of Microbiology, Biosciences II for nursing, Nutrition and Physiotherapy, Biosciences I, Biosciences II and Genetics and Molecular Biology for Medical Students.

Amphitheatre and Morphology

Located on the first floor of the Faculty of Health. Its physical spaces are: amphitheatre, osteology room, anatomical specimen preparation room, reagent storage room, classroom, teachers’ offices, laboratory technician office and sanitary units.

The morphology laboratory carries out practical activities of the undergraduate programs of the Faculty of Health. The practical component of subjects of the master’s degree in Basic Sciences and research projects of the anatomical area is also carried out.
