The Group aims to study physiological variables such as electrocardiographic signals, heart rate variability, blood pressure variability, and accumulated blood pressure as prognostic and predictive factors in diseases like heart failure, hypertension, Chagas disease, and preeclampsia. In collaboration with the Biomedical Engineering Group and CEMOS, it has developed software and hardware for the analysis of these physiological signals. The group is currently applying advanced statistical and mathematical analysis tools, including multiple linear regression models, joint model analysis, structural equation models, machine learning, mediation analysis, and the G formula.
