ABOUT THE
Program
The Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) as an institution of higher education whose purpose is the training of people of high ethical, political, and professional quality, responding to one of its main functions, offers academic programs according to the reality and needs of the region and the country, articulating the programs to growing problems in the environment. In the face of the crisis presented in the institutions of the health sector, the need to train professionals at the postgraduate level in health for the management, administrative and financial levels of the different health institutions has been evidenced.
The Specialization in its 29 years of operation has been contributing to the training of people capable of leading in all institutional areas of health.

As approved by the university and the corresponding national authorities, applicants to the program of the Specialization in Administration of Professional Health Services in the areas of health, administration, legal, economics, and humanities must be graduates of Colombian universities recognized by the State, as well as foreign universities. In the latter case, they must validate the title in accordance with the provisions of the ICFES.

The Specialization seeks to create a Health Services Administrators who are effective executives with ethical, administrative, and social awareness who, using their knowledge and skills, can interact harmoniously and efficiently with the political, technical, and labor levels of the sector, with a mentality of change that allows them to adapt the institutions to the needs of the community and contribute their contributions to the greater development of the region and the country.
LABOR
Field
Health service managers who have completed the UIS program are qualified to manage any health institution in the General Health Security System and to lead health management processes within local health directorates, either municipal or departmental.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- UIS registration form duly completed and signed.
- Resume, it has to be done in the UIS format established institutionally for this purpose, with the attachment of the certificates and copies of documents that corroborate what is described in it.
- Photocopy of valid identity document valid in Colombia or valid passport for foreigners.
- Recent document type photo, preferably in digital format, white background 3×4.
- Photocopy of the diploma or photocopy of the undergraduate degree certificate required by the program, issued by a recognized HEI in Colombia.
- Notice 1: If the applicant has a degree from a foreign university, it must be duly apostilled and translated into Spanish if it is in a foreign language. The degrees must be validated by the Ministerio de Educación Nacional de la República.
- Certificate of the grades obtained in the undergraduate program required by the program, including the weighted average.
- Notice 2: In the case of UIS undergraduate alumni, it is not necessary to provide this document.
- Receipt of payment issued by the UIS treasury for the current value of the registration or receipt of consignment in the account authorized by the UIS.
