about the

Program

The Microbiology and Bioanalysis Program emerges from the Bacteriology and Clinical Laboratory Program as a comprehensive training proposal in a modern, open, flexible, and relevant curriculum; recontextualized with the transformations of health, science, technology, and education of the country and the world.

Scientific and technological advancement forced the application of an innovative, inclusive and congruent educational model, combining conceptual and methodological elements from different areas of knowledge, training ethical, legal, suitable, competent, and competitive professionals in microbiology and biological analysis from different fields of action. For this reason, Microbiology and Bioanalysis were chosen as the most suitable name for the reformed curriculum and that will be under the guiding principles of the modern School of Microbiology of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS).
