ABOUT THE
Program
To train an integral professional in the field of Zootechnics to guide the processes of production and technical exploitation of the different animal species, as well as the commercialization of products and by-products; to lead the development and improvement of the quality of life of the rural community, with the application of technologies appropriate to the environment and efficient use of available resources, sustained under the principles of sustainability and food security.

Profile
The applicant must be inclined towards the field of animal husbandry and know how to guide the production processes and technical exploitation of the different animal species, as well as the commercialization of their products and by-products.
GRADUATE'S
Profile
The professional of Zootechnics UIS, will be able to:- To guide the development of the livestock sector, increasing the supply of food of animal origin through projects and productive enterprises of the agricultural sector in the field of animal production, wild species and fish farming, genetic improvement, technology of dairy, meat and concentrate products, as well as the market for them.
- To formulate, manage, direct and supervise livestock sector development plans and programs.
- To adapt and transfer technology for the industrialization of animal products and by-products.
- To promote the livestock industry according to regional needs.
- To formulate and develop basic research applied to the production, management and improvement of traditional and non-traditional animal species.
- To lead and advise on the creation and development of livestock production and agro-industrialization enterprises.
- To establish reproductive and nutritional efficiency programs.
- To organize exhibitions, judging, vaccination and prevention campaigns.

The value of the basic tuition fee ranges between 1/8 legal monthly minimum wage and 6 legal monthly minimum wage, where legal monthly minimum wage is equivalent to the legal monthly minimum wage at the time of liquidation. In order to settle the tuition fees for students in the in-person modality undergraduate academic programs at the Regional Campuses of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, the following model will be considered, which defines, as a general condition for its operation, the existence of a socio-economic condition of the family of origin based on one of the following three indicators:
Students who have received a scholarship during their last year of high school must present written certification from the school regarding the amount they would have paid if they had not received this benefit.
V3 = Income*3.85% (*)Income tax return or certificate of income and withholdings or CPA certification. The amount of tuition to be paid each semester will correspond to the highest amount calculated based on each of the indicators. |
