Physiotherapy student wins award in National Congress

The ninth semester student of Physiotherapy Natalia Rocío Cuadros Pérez, a member of the CPK nursery attached to the Pain Study Group, presented an oral presentation at the XXVI National Congress of Physiotherapy: “A response to health needs in Colombia”, held in Barranquilla between November 1 and 3, 2019.

The National Congress organized by the Colombian Association of Physiotherapy ASCOFI, the Colombian Association of Physiotherapy Faculties ASCOFAFI, the Colombian College of Physiotherapy COLFI, and the Colombian Association of Physiotherapy Students ACEFIT, was attended by 450 participants and the intervention of prominent national and international speakers, who shared the scientific, political and social advances in Physiotherapy, in clinical issues, public health, mental health, physical activity and sport, health and work, and training in physiotherapy.

Student Cuadros Pérez obtained second place in the formative research modality, with the work entitled: “Hemodynamic, ventilatory and metabolic response during a maximal incremental stress test in healthy children and adolescents”, in whose authorship the undergraduate students also participated from the seedbed María Cristina Mejía Estévez, Fabián Isaías Farfán, the master’s student Sonia Liliana Rivera Mejía and the teacher Diana Carolina Delgado Díaz.

The participation of Natalia Rocío Cuadros Pérez had financial support for mobility from the dean of the Faculty of Health.
