With the purpose of informing about the essential aspects to obtain a scholarship for studies abroad and its benefits, the outstanding UIS graduate, Salomón Espinosa, professional in Agroindustrial Production, will give a talk this November 21 through the platform Zoom.
The activity, organized by the Institute for Regional Projection and Distance Education (Ipred) will begin at 11:00 in the morning.
In his speech, entitled ‘Conquering Re-Scholarship’, Salomón seeks to motivate attendees to study abroad and to clarify doubts about the competitions and calls for scholarships.
He graduated with honors upon receiving his undergraduate university degree from the UIS and achieved the Cum Laude distinction, being also selected as a fellow from the Carolina Foundation to complete a Master’s Degree in Advanced Technologies for Agroforestry Development, at the University of Valladolid (Spain) . There he also obtained the extraordinary end-of-degree award, best academic record.
He was the winner of the Erasmus Mundus scholarship for an International Master’s degree in Rural Development, where he graduated with honors and obtained the Summa Cum Laude distinction. He is currently a fellow at the University of Pisa, in Italy, to carry out his doctorate in Rural Development, within the framework of a European Horizon 2020 project called Contracts 2.0.
