In accordance with the Institutional Project, the Universidad Industrial de Santander is interested in hiring teachers with human qualities, work capacity and academic and educational excellence, who assume a commitment to continuous professional development, both in disciplinary aspects and in pedagogical competences, strengthening and dynamizing the educational work.

Any person who aspires to be a professor at the Universidad Industrial de Santander, must carefully observe the development of competencies (knowledge, skills, attitudes) and reasoning processes that students use to propose solutions, with respect to defined performance standards, according to the Pedagogical Model, which materializes the curricular premises that the educational community has defined, fulfills the function of guiding or routing the pedagogical practices used by the various educational actors, guarantees the application of scientific developments on the nature and quality of learning, promotes the use of methods, techniques and procedures that efficiently allow to achieve a high rate of academic congruence, and facilitates the implementation, development and evaluation of a system of pedagogical innovation that accounts for the changes made in teaching, and in the other dynamics of operation of other elements in what we could call the curricular system, composed of three areas: macro, meso and micro-curricular.

The professionals who enter the bank of eligible and are hired by the academic units will develop the teaching activities in person.
