POLICIES
E-mail Service
- The email is created for students, graduates, and professors of the Universidad Industrial de Santander.
- Each mailbox will have a space managed by each user to avoid exceeding the assigned quota.
- Mail users will receive their mailbox already created, and when they enter the first time, it is suggested to change the password assigned to them.
- The university is not responsible for the text, sound, or video content that users send or receive using the assigned email address.
- Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their password and account, and for all activities carried out under them.
- Users agree to: (a) immediately notify the university of any unauthorized use of their password or account or any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that their account is closed at the end of each session. The university cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to comply.
- The user, taking into account the nature of the Internet, agrees to obey all local rules regarding online conduct and acceptable content.
- Users agree that they expressly understand and agree that the university shall not be liable for any direct and indirect damages, including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or other intangible losses, even if the university has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
- The use of the email provided by the university for commercial purposes is not permitted, nor is its use for sending mass mailings that undermine the proper functioning of the services on the Internet.
- The university, in the case of nonpermitted use of email, will provide the users’ information to the entity that requires it for some type of investigation into inappropriate use of the service. This is without the university being part of the investigation, since it is simply the entity that offers the service.
- The university, if for any reason, is in the obligation to terminate the email service, will inform and will not respond to any loss of information after the decision has been executed.
- The email service for students is free of charge.
- Users must comply with the rules on information and data protection established by the Constitution and the law.
- Users must comply with the email usage policies, otherwise the service will be terminated.
