The “UIS Padrino” plan seeks to be a bridge between the graduate and the UIS student, establishing a relationship in which both benefit from the mentoring experience. The institutional program of UIS graduates will summon the interested parties to be part of this project, and according to the supply and demand, the relationships of sponsor-student and / or sponsor-graduate will be established.

This project will allow UIS students and graduates to know the work and/or research experiences of the outstanding graduates, as well as training, mentoring, and support in competencies and skills that will improve their integral development. In the same way, UIS graduates, in addition to contributing to the improvement of the high quality of the institution, will be able to enjoy a mentoring and collaboration experience from which they will be able to know the current trends of students and graduates.

The trainees will be UIS undergraduate students of last semesters and recent UIS graduates who are willing to learn new competencies and skills that facilitate the transition to the world of work, business or research.

Trainees who wish to apply to the “UIS Sponsor” plan must meet the following requirements:

• Be an active student in the semester that the mentoring is developed.

• Students from the seventh semester onwards can participate.

• If you are a recent graduate, you can also apply if you are willing to actively participate in this program.

• Not having previously participated in the “Padrino UIS” plan.

Additionally, the basic commitments of the apprentice are:

• Attend the sessions scheduled by the sponsor.

• Actively participate before, during and after the sessions.
