ENROLLMENT

Requirements

Any person interested in participating in the admission process to the distance and virtual undergraduate academic programs offered by the Universidad Industrial de Santander, must comply with the following requirements:

1. Having approved the eleventh grade or being in the eleventh grade.Having obtained a minimum score in the State Examination:

• State exam taken before 2000: 213 points minimum.
• State exam taken from 2000 to 2011: 31 points in all areas except Foreign Language.
• State exam taken as of 2012: certify a minimum score of 31 points in each of the tests that make up the state exam: Mathematics, Critical Reading, Social Studies and Citizenship, Natural Sciences and English.

PLEASE NOTE 1: If you took the Saber 11° State Exam in 2012, 2013 and the first semester of 2014, only the results re-qualified to the new state exam structure, issued by the ICFES, will be taken into account.

PLEASE NOTE 2: For applicants exempted from the English test, according to Article 1 of Decree 34 of 1980 of the Ministerio de Educación Nacional, only scores in Mathematics, Critical Reading, Social and Citizenship and Natural Sciences will be taken into account.

PLEASE NOTE 3: The state exam presented in September 2010, must be transformed to the standardized scores according to the table issued by ICFES. For this purpose, the Universidad Industrial de Santander has a score simulator and the agreement of the Academic Council where the transformation of the scores of the state exam presented is regulated on the date shown in this link. 

Nota 4: In case of being admitted, the students who obtained their bachelor’s degree abroad or its equivalent, must submit the validation of the degree to the Ministerio de Educación Nacional, if you have not done the procedure enter the following link Validations in Colombia

Applicants are warned that the use of fraudulent means of any kind in the enrollment and/or admission process disqualifies them for the term of 5 years to be enrolled and/or admitted in any academic program of the University, without prejudice to any criminal penalties that may apply. (Superior Council Agreement No. 017/95).

The Registration Fee

From Monday, October 3, 2022, until Friday, January 20, 2023. You may pay the registration fees by purchasing a PIN at Banco Popular (item 25), or by electronic payment or downloading a receipt to pay at authorized banks (B.B.V.A. – Bogotá – Comultrasan – Davivienda – Helm Bank – Itaú – Occidente – Scotiabank Colpatria)..

Para pago electrónico realice el siguiente proceso:

1. Click on “Ventas“, located at the bottom of this section.
2. Choose “Registro”. Please note that the data you enter in the form are the data of the person who will participate in the registration process..
3. Once registered, click on “Servicios”.
4. Search forINSCRIPCIÓN PREGRADO A DISTANCIA Y VIRTUAL (one option).
5. Then click on “Adquirir”.
6. Enter requested information: document type, document number and access password.
7. Finally, choose an option: Electronic Payment or Receipt for payment in Bank and click on“confirmar”.

For PIN payment at Banco Popular, you must make a deposit at Banco Popular’s offices, to current account No. 480-04035-1, concepto 25 of distance and virtual undergraduate enrollment of IPRED.

For any request or claim it is necessary to keep the proof of payment of the registration fees. The payment made will be applied exclusively to the registration for the FIRST ACADEMIC PERIOD OF 2023.

COMPLETE

Registration

From 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, until Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at 11:50 p.m., you will be able to register online. Before registering you must have the following documents available in PDF format:

• Identity Document.
• SABER test results.
• Voting certificate, if age applies, this document is not mandatory.
• Enter UIS website Choose Aspirantes – Inscripciones pregrado a distancia y virtual –  Proceso de inscripción – Inscripción en línea. Seguir las indicaciones:
• Click on “realizar Inscripción”.
• Accept the terms of handling of personal data.
• If you paid by the option trámites y servicios, choose the option “OTROS PAGOS” and enter the document number.
• If you made the payment at Banco Popular, select the PIN payment option and enter the PIN number that appears on the bank’s payment receipt.

When entering the web registration form, you must keep in mind the following information:

• The ICFES AC registration number entered in the web form must be the same as the one attached in PDF..
• The contact information you provide during registration becomes the means by which the University will contact you, if necessary. We appreciate that the information you provide is truthful, current, accurate and correctly written.
• It is NECESSARY to carefully verify the correct filling out of the data, since, once the registration process is closed, you will not be able to make any modifications to the information registered in the electronic form.

Once you have completed the registration of all the requested information and select the option register registration, you will be assigned a registration number and you will be able to print the respective registration certificate, which will be sent to the registered e-mail address. If you do not have your registration certificate, it will be understood that you did not complete the process correctly, even if you have paid the registration fee, therefore, you will not participate in the selection process.

PLEASE NOTE. Ehe applicant will provide, under his/her responsibility and under oath, the complete, accurate and truthful information requested by the UIS for the registration process of enrollment as an applicant to any of the distance and virtual undergraduate academic programs offered by the Institution. (Article 2, Agreement No. 222 of September 16, 2014 of the Academic Council).

List

The University will publish the list of pre-registrants in alphabetical order on January 25, 2023 after 5:00 p.m. which is recommended to be consulted in this section.

Once published, you will be able to consult the list by clicking on the REGISTRATIONS button, located at the bottom of this section..

Results

The results of those admitted will be published on February 3, 2023 after 5:00 p.m. and will be available in the registration module.

• Letter of admission

Admitted applicants must download the admission letter, once the results are available, on the date mentioned above.
