UIS Malaga Campus is an academic and administrative unit attached to the Institute of Regional Projection and Distance Education IPRED -together with the Barbosa, Barrancabermeja and Socorro campuses- which offers training programs in face-to-face, distance and virtual modalities.

• On-site training: it offers an Introductory Level (pre-university) that facilitates students’ admission to the following engineering programs: Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical and Systems; the first four semesters are carried out in Malaga and the remaining 6 semesters in Bucaramanga (10 in total).
• The Forestry Engineering and Animal Husbandry programs are offered, both of which are on-site academic programs that take place entirely (10 semesters) at the Malaga campus.
• It has research groups that facilitate interdisciplinary work among students from different academic programs.
• It has a livestock and agroforestry conversion laboratory that will soon offer soil testing services to the general public.
• The headquarters has nurseries and greenhouses for forest reproduction, spaces that generate plant material that has been used by the CAS, municipalities and students in reforestation projects.
• IPRED’s technical, technological and professional programs are offered at this campus, excluding the Plastic Arts program.
• Students’ academic and financial calendars are different from those established at the Bucaramanga campus or IPRED.
