  • Waste contaminated by blood or fluids (gauze, dressings, applicators, cottons, drains, bandages, wicks, gloves, blood transfusion bags, catheters, tubes.)
  • Laboratory equipment (capillary and test tubes, culture media, object carrier sheets and covers objects, lamellae, closed systems and seals of drains).

Post-consumer waste is the remains of products or equipment that, once used, are discarded and generally cannot be reused. The main waste collected at the different campuses of the University are:

The different headquarters of the University have a physical point for the disposal of special waste, in addition to that the administrative academic units can make the collection request by digitally filling out the FRF.63 special waste collection form to the ambiental@uis.edu.co email or by communicating to extension 2239, in order to make the delivery to the management company to give it the final disposal.
