For the second time in a row, the IPT student team from the School of Physics of the Industrial University of Santander will represent Colombia in the International IPT (International Physics Tournament) tournament, the most important physics challenge competition in the world.
The eliminatory that granted the pass to represent Colombia in the IPT, was held last December at the Explora Park in Medellín. During the event that brought together teams from 6 universities in the country, the UIS representation achieved the best score in the first round and in the final round, thus achieving the right to wear the colors of the national team in the international competition to be held. virtually on September 26 and 27.
The IPT team of the School of Physics, made up of the students Laura Martínez, Lucía Oliveros, Cristian Hernández Cely, Juan Manuel Pacheco, Steven Rico and Rolando Carvajal, invite the UIS university community to accompany them virtually on September 23 at the essay that they will carry out with a view to international competition.

The International Physicists’ Tournament 2020 will begin on Saturday, September 26 with the first fight at 7:00 a.m. Colombian time and will continue with the second battle at 9:30 a.m., while the third confrontation will be on Sunday 27 at 7: 00 am and the grand finale will start at 10:00 am
