CIMBIOS is part of the Scientific and Technological Research Centers in Materials and Nanosciences (CMN) and Biotechnology and Agroindustry (ABC) of the Universidad Industrial de Santander. This research group is the response of the Universidad Industrial de Santander to the need for research with social impact, using scientific and technological knowledge from different areas of knowledge applied to well-defined lines of research. CIMBIOS is a multidisciplinary research group that studies topics of social interest such as early detection and cure of cancer, production, characterization and application of new materials, adaptation and development of new technologies for the solution of problems of regional and national interest, and the training of young researchers with the scientific and technological rigor that characterizes the UIS community.
