The Atenea Educational Research Group is attached to the School of Education of the Universidad Industrial de Santander and its objectives are: a) to study topics related to the educational field and society; b) generate knowledge in education and pedagogy to contribute to the improvement and innovation of pedagogical practices, the quality of education and democracy in educational institutions; and, c) provide inputs for educational policy decision-making to contribute to the achievement of an equitable and sustainable society.

Services
The Athena Group offers the Diploma of Inclusive Education for Populations in Adverse Contexts, aimed at professionals from all areas related to public and private institutions working on comprehensive population care in a form of vulnerability, to promote a comprehensive vision of vulnerability, study Colombian legislation on school integration, promote tools for improving the quality of life of communities, and promote interdisciplinary work for diverse population groups.

Advice and accompaniment to the School Cohabitation Committees of basic and middle education institutions to support their creation and strengthening, identify the factors associated with conflicts that interfere with school coexistence, design strategies for promotion and prevention, and evaluate their compliance.
