For over 30 years, the Food Science and Technology Research Group CICTA has been a team of professionals who have provided support to companies in the sector for the development and analysis of food quality.

From the Food Laboratory, which is accredited by the Colombian National Accreditation Agency, it is carried out the analyses for a wide variety of foods and those required for the preparation of the nutritional table according to Resolution 333 of 2011 of the Ministerio de Protección Social.

  • Assistance to the food industry in the development and promotion of foods with nutritional and health benefits, particularly in:
  • Nutritional study of ingredients to add to foods with nutritional and health properties
  • Design of the nutritional composition of foods with nutritional and health properties according to current legal standards.
  • Drafting of the scientific-technical text for the promotion of foods with nutritional and health properties according to current standards and legislation.
  • Design and implementation of educational and communication interventions in the promotion of food with nutritional and health properties.
  • Recruitment, selection, and training of sensory evaluators with performance skills in discriminatory and descriptive food tests.
  • Design and application of sensory tests to evaluate food
