ABOUT THE
Laboratory
The Chemical Laboratory of Industrial Consulting is an outreach agency that is attached to the School of Chemistry. It has a wide experience of more than 39 years in chemical analysis, accredited by IDEAM according to ISO 17025, certified by the ICA and the Instituto Nacional de Salud, which allows it to provide industry and the community in general with specialized technical, research and consulting services. The Laboratory counts with specialized equipment and is composed of a multidisciplinary group of professionals.
The Laboratory’s portfolio of services includes analyses on water, fertilizers, food, soil, sludge, biological fluids and raw materials, performed with Ultraviolet-visible techniques, atomic absorption spectrophotometry, hydride generator and graphite furnace, volumetry, gravimetry and infrared according to the guidelines of national and international standards.

Analysis of metals in air filters for occupational health risk assessment.

Determination of selenium in eggs, meat and poultry products. Quantification of metals in food.

Characterization of all types of water. Risk analysis of water quality for human consumption and different reuses.
