The Research Group on Energy and Environment (GIEMA) is part of the School of Mechanical Engineering of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS). The group, created in 2002, has been developing projects and research in the areas of energy conversion and environment, alternative energies, gas and hydrocarbon technology, transportation engineering, biomedical engineering and computational mechanics.

  • Course in Computational Fluid Dynamics: Theoretical and practical course for the numerical solution of the Navier-Stokes equations (conservation of mass and quantity of motion which govern fluid dynamics). Explaining in detail the methodology and using C or C++ programming languages, the student will be qualified to generate software that allows him/her to solve Navier-Stokes equations in a differential form.
