GMPH focuses on the formulation and execution of research projects for the development of high-impact methodologies and techniques in watershed heating, flow assurance, phase behavior, process modeling, and production optimization for application in the Conventional and Non-Conventional Hydrocarbons industry.

It strives to establish strategic alliances with science and technology entities and/or with companies in the hydrocarbon sector to promote the development of new technologies that allow for the solution of problems that may arise during the operation of the oil fields, within the lines of research defined by the group and to promote the technological transfer of the results of its research.
