Minciencias Classification:
We are a research group that addresses problems related to the work of legal science and political science, from a critical, cross-cutting, interdisciplinary approach and articulated with the educational project of the Law program and graduate programs of the School of Law and Political Science. It also aims to develop research projects that generate new knowledge, promoting transformative responses that have an impact on the legal, social and environmental level within the framework of Decree 1330 of 2019.
The group aims to encourage critical and proactive research that addresses the main socio-legal problems and phenomena from a local, regional, national and international reality and that contributes to social transformation within the framework of the justiciability of Human Rights.

The group was created by the Director of the School of Law and Political Science Javier Alejandro Acevedo Guerrero in 2021. Since this year began its process for recognition before the Universidad Industrial de Santander and in 2022 was accredited by the same, is a young group that is created with the aim of expanding the various lines of research that has the School. It is currently registered in Colciencias and is waiting for the next calls for recognition and classification.
