The School of Physiotherapy of the Universidad Industrial de Santander has as its mission the formation of autonomous physiotherapists, who base their ethical, investigative, and professional action on the construction and appropriation of knowledge, critical and reflective capacity, tolerance and responsibility, to contribute to the improvement of the quality of life of individuals and communities, by preventing alterations of the movement, enablement, recovery and optimization of its functional capacity, to promote its biological, psychological and social development.
It underpins its mission in the human qualities of the people who make up it and in its commitment to the institution and society, as well as in the dialogical and scientific-pedagogical attitude of its teachers.

Programs
Continuing Education
Aimed at professionals to enable their updating in the different fields of performance, and to promote permanent improvement. These activities are carried out through diplomas, courses, seminars, workshops, internships, congresses or symposia, in the face-to-face, semi-presence, virtual and remote modalities.
Based on the needs of training and professional updating, as well as the strengths of the Program in teaching, research and extension, the School of Physiotherapy has offered short courses of continuing education in the seminar – workshop modality in the following thematic areas:
Gait analysis.
Wound management.
Physiotherapeutic intervention in upper and lower limb.
Handling of skeletal muscle pain problems.
Cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Applications and effects of physical modalities on peripheral vascular lesions.
Physiotherapeutic diagnosis of the cardiopulmonary system.
Muscle plasticity.
Physical activity and physical exercise.
Physical modalities.
It also plans to work in the following thematic areas:
Motion analysis with an emphasis on postural evaluation and ergonomics.
Design and implementation of projects in the community area.
Physiotherapeutic intervention in alteration of neurological movement.
Physical intervention in movement disturbances associated with osteomuscular problems.
Comprehensive pain management and quality of life.
Disability in the regional context
