The Legal Clinic has been consolidated as a teaching and practice unit for students in the last semesters of the Law career, allowing to articulate the theory of the discipline with the social reality within the framework of the mission and vision that regulates the activities of the Legal Clinic.

The Legal Office as a unit attached to the School of Law of the UIS, was created by Agreement 127 of July 27, 1999 of the Academic Council.

In addition, it also encourages and promotes conflict resolution mechanisms such as Conciliation, for which the law office has a Conciliation Center that allows students to develop their practice and acquire skills in this area.
