Unit

The Unit of Information and Statistical Analysis (UIAES) performs statistical analyses supported by institutional data that constitute a support for the University and its Academic and Administrative Units in the development of their different processes.

Among these studies are the analysis of the results of those admitted to the Saber 11 tests and of the students in the Saber Pro and Saber T&T state tests. The institution’s ranking in the THE, QS, Scimago and U-Sapiens rankings is also analyzed. It also contributes to the study of the university’s gender gaps and the follow-up of the current Institutional Development Plan.

Objectives

To organize, disseminate and present statistical information associated with the academic and administrative processes of the Universidad Industrial de Santander, in a clear, accurate, updated and timely manner.
To support the director of Planning in advising the Superior Council, Academic Council, Faculty Councils, School Councils and other officials of the University, in all aspects related to indicators, models and indexes required from the Ministry of National Education and all other government agencies that require information from Higher Education Institutions, as well as propose indicators that allow constant monitoring of the Institutional Development Plan and the policies that are implemented to achieve its implementation.

To carry out studies and statistical analyses based on the data collected that support the definition and implementation of policies related to university processes.
To facilitate the access of information to society and the national and international academic community under the terms provided by law and institutional regulations.
To elaborate proposals that enrich the processes elaborated by the Ministry of National Education, with the purpose of improving the quality of Higher Education in Colombia.
To perform statistical studies or analyses that may be required by external entities of the public or private sector in association with academic and administrative units of the University.
