The Research Group on Organic Compounds of Medicinal Interest (CODEIM) is a multidisciplinary group that seeks the bioprospecting of organic and organometallic compounds of synthetic or semi-synthetic origin, with the purpose of finding leading compounds in the fight against some of the diseases that afflict the population.
Among its lines of research are the design and synthesis of organic compounds with bioactive potential, the determination of anticancer activity, and the inhibitory capacity of therapeutic targets related to diseases such as Alzheimer’s, venous thrombosis, and cancer. Furthermore, Cancer Immunology and Antitumor Cellular Therapies and the metabolic study in microorganisms.
