Minciencias Classification : A

The Polymer Research Group (GIP) has more than 30 years of experience in the development of scientific advances. Due to this experience, the group’s work plan has been based on three major pillars. The first is the training of quality researchers, starting from the main researchers, passing through the studies of doctorate and master’s degrees and reaching the undergraduate students. Second, relationships with the productive sector are being established in order to provide scientific development to problems in international and national industries. The latter is based on having the infrastructure and equipment to support the goals proposed above. These bases have paid off, since the GIP has doctors and master’s graduates in the group, as well as a large number of engineers. In addition, the group counts on multiple publications in specialized international journals, as well as different presentations held at conferences at national and international levels, among which stands out the AIChE Annual Meeting, which is one of the most renowned congresses at the international level.
