The A Tempo Research Group, from the School of Arts at the Universidad Industrial de Santander, established in 2014 through recognition resolution 1456, dated July 30, 2014, with the aim of promoting, supporting, and generating research in the artistic and pedagogical fields involving students and professors from the School of Arts at UIS.

For the period 2022-2025, it holds institutional recognition, resolution 0236, dated February 18, 2022. Additionally, it was acknowledged by Colciencias in the 894-2021 call and classified as Category B, according to resolution 0502 of 2022.

Its vision is to be recognized as a leading research group in artistic and pedagogical studies in the region, aiming to participate in larger-scale processes occurring at the national level, and whose outcomes are projected through works or research-creation products in arts, publications, forums, congresses, seminars, and art exhibitions.

Composition and recording of five works for symphonic percussion based on airs, rhythms and structures of traditional Colombian music.
