ABOUT THE
Program
The Master’s Degree in Mathematics Education (in-depth mode) has as its main subject of knowledge the didactics of mathematical concepts and notions. In this sense, the program seeks to train highly qualified professors for the design and development of classroom methodologies that promote the construction of mathematical knowledge among their students, providing them with the skills required for the critical reading of scientific texts and the writing of their own projects.
Professors in training assume a fundamental role in the dynamic construction of their students’ mathematical knowledge based on their own experience as individuals in constant training. In addition, they have a broad vision of the complexity of the processes of teaching and learning mathematics, in order to achieve a significant academic and professional transformation in their students.

Its curriculum is framed in an excellent basic training supported by three pillars: the strengthening of mathematical thinking, from the study of form and space, quantity, change and relationships, and uncertainty and data analysis; the development of didactic thinking, identifying teaching and learning problems associated with mathematical objects of study, and the research in and for the classroom. All this favoring the professional development of its students.
