Program
The Specialization in Deposit Engineering is one of the most important areas of oil engineering because it is responsible for studying the fluid rock systems where hydrocarbons are housed. The study of these systems is highly complex due to the varied properties of the deposits, making it difficult to select the appropriate operating scheme.

- Assimilate concepts, principles, and theories related to deposit engineering.
- Generate technological alternatives with an impact on the development of the hydrocarbons sector.
- Propose and execute different schemes of exploitation of a deposit oil tanker.
- Take responsibility, teamwork, and leadership as elements that allow you to perform successfully in your professional practice.

The Deposits Engineering Specialists have the knowledge to contribute to the exploration, characterization, development, optimization of extraction and application of recovery methods in hydrocarbon deposits through the implementation or development of new technologies for the sustainable and efficient achievement of the country's hydrocarbon industry.
The Specialization program in Deposit Engineering was created with the aim of providing the country and the personal industry with a high degree of expertise to contribute to the responsible development of its hydrocarbons through the design, adaptation, and application of new technologies and mechanisms for the recovery of oil from our deposits.
The program seeks to equip all its students with the tools, techniques, and experimental and numerical skills to acquire the skills that allow the graduate to understand, solve, and propose strategies aimed at increasing the recovery factor and improving the potential of the Colombian fields to meet the new productivity targets, safety policies, and environmental protection.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- UIS registration form duly completed and signed.
- Resume, it has to be done in the UIS format established institutionally for this purpose, with the attachment of the certificates and copies of documents that corroborate what is described in it.
- Photocopy of valid identity document valid in Colombia or valid passport for foreigners.
- Recent document type photo, preferably in digital format, white background 3×4.
- Photocopy of the diploma or photocopy of the undergraduate degree certificate required by the program, issued by a recognized HEI in Colombia.
- Notice 1: If the applicant has a degree from a foreign university, it must be duly apostilled and translated into Spanish if it is in a foreign language. The degrees must be validated by the Ministerio de Educación Nacional de la República.
- Certificate of the grades obtained in the undergraduate program required by the program, including the weighted average.
- Notice 2: In the case of UIS undergraduate alumni, it is not necessary to provide this document.
- Receipt of payment issued by the UIS treasury for the current value of the registration or receipt of consignment in the account authorized by the UIS.
